Question 1 of 5

Can you write your name with your other hand?

1. What do you think?

How to play

Crowd is a daily game about reading the room. There are five questions with no right answer, like whether cereal counts as soup. You don't win by having the right opinion. You win by knowing everyone else's.

  1. For each question, first cast your own vote: yes or no. Your vote is added to the count for everyone who plays after you.
  2. Then set the dial to the percentage of players you think said yes.
  3. Drop your card in the box to see the real percentage from everyone who has answered so far.
  4. Each question scores 100 minus how many points you were off. Guess 60% when the crowd said 52% and you score 92. The best possible day is 500.
  5. Everyone gets the same five questions, and new ones arrive at midnight Eastern time.

So that the first players of the day aren't scored against a handful of votes, every question starts with 50 starter votes set at a sensible guess. Real votes quickly outnumber them, and the result always tells you how many real players it's based on.
